Harbor Haze on Summer Days

Ahhh, sweet signs of summer time! The nautical theme has been around for a few fashion seasons, it’s a cyclical trend with classic roots, and none show that better than Ralph Lauren Summer 2018. Classic primary color patterns, toggles, ropes and snazzy stripes. 

The wonderful thing with a cyclical trend is that it can then pull from various time periods of its popularity. In the Ralph Lauren launch we see definitive roots in the early 1900’s. Yachting fashions and even perhaps luxury liners such as the Titanic would have featured these fashions and designs.

Either way, we’re “hooked” on this nautical narrative and even launched our own homage to nautical in early 2018 with our Harbor collection which is fashioned after rope designs found around the harbors. With a little more modern finishes available, it really transcends this trend and can become a great fashionable choice in any kitchen, bath or furniture use!
